Our FAQ

Do you sell direct to the public?

Yes we supply to the end clients, by doing so we can ensure you get the best service and price. By cutting out the middleman and passing the savings on to you.

What is a template?

A template is an exact replica of the required granite worktops. Taking all accurate measurements of the kitchen units and cut outs for hobs and sinks, all the shaping and overhang required. This is then used to manufacture the granite work tops ensuring a precise and accurate cutting of the granite for a perfect work surface installation. Beware of some companies who claim they do not need to template before fitting, and cut on site using mobile equipment on the installation day. Using hand held cutters and polishers in your kitchen or living room can often resort in having to chisel the walls and needing to scribe the back of the granite edge to install the work surface. Resulting in very poor quality work surfaces plus a lot of dust, mess and noise. A top quality Granite worktop when finished to the highest standard requires accurate templating before installation. Our cutting and polishing is carried out on the latest precision machinery in a dedicated and bespoke manufacturing facility, ensuring a perfect fit and a superior finish.

Can you send me samples?

A Of course! We want you to know what the granite will look like with your units and lighting. However, we strongly recommend that you come and see the actual slab your worktop will be cut from as they can vary. It’s advisable to bring a door and possibly tiles to compare.

What needs to be completed prior to templating?

All base units must be installed and fixed. Units must be level. All appliances (sinks/taps/hobs etc…) must be present.

Do I need to be present for templating/fitting?

There are often details that we need to ask during templating. It would be advised that you or you kitchen fitter are present. For fitting, there is no requirement for you to be present.

Can you cut to my measurements?

We will make worktops on a supply only basis, however we can accept no responsibility if the measurements or templates supplied are incorrect and subsequently leave the worktops ill-fitting. It is advised to have your kitchen templated.

Will I be able to see the joins?

The joins are negligible. They are typically 1-3mm in width and sealed in a resin that is colour-matched to the granite. We endeavour to use the smallest number of pieces physically possible for any job to reduce the number of joins. This is governed by the strength of the material chosen, along with access to your property, and the positioning of appliances.

How long from the templating will it take to fit my granite worktops?

We normally deliver and fit granite worktops within 5 working days after the survey.

Can you give me a quotation over the phone?

We can give you a rough indication over the phone. For an actual quote, we will need to see a plan of your kitchen. You can fax, e-mail, or post these to us. Please contact us for details.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, Cheques, bankers draft or cash.

Please note the balance due on the installation day can only be paid by credit card or cash.
